The pristine provincial park still retains its reputation as “the jewel of the Ontario parks system

Killarney’s magnificent landscapes once inspired the legendary Group of Seven artists. This iconic 645 square kilometre wilderness landscape showcases the wild Georgian Bay Coast of pink granite; the La Cloche Mountains’ white quartzite ridges and over 50 exceptionally clear, sapphire lakes set among Jack Pine hills. You can enjoy extensive backcountry canoeing and sea kayaking experiences. On dry land there are outstanding hiking options including the 80 km, looped, La Cloche-Silhouette Trail, as well as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. The charming historic village of Killarney is located just 10 km from Killarney Provincial Park, with impressive local eateries, relaxing pubs and elegant lodgings. The Village was originally founded in 1820 as a fur trading post and has evolved through the years to become one of Northeastern Ontario’s most popular tourist destinations.
